Kilsharion's Onion Bread


2 pkgs active yeast
6 cups 12 grain flour
2 pkgs onion soup mix


Mix active yeast and 1 1/2 cups warm water. Put 4 cups of flour in large mixing bowl, blend in active yeast liquid with paddle attachment. Add 1/4 cup water and salt (to taste). Add in 2 cups flour and the onion soup mix and beat with bread hook for 10 minutes.

Cover and let rise to three times its size. Punch down. Repeat. Punch down. Repeat. (you can only do this two time instead of three if you prefer)

Bake in 325 degree F oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

Note: this is a very heavy bread.
